Our Cosmetic Dermatology Expertise:
Botox®
Neuromodulators such as BOTOX® can temporarily diminish or eliminate wrinkles and lines on the face by relaxing underlying facial muscles.
The procedure involves Dr. Cohen or Dr. Selph administering several small injections around the targeted area which only takes about 10-15 minutes. With years of training and experience, our doctors provide beautiful, natural-looking results.
Laser and Light-Energy Skin Rejuvenation
Using the Syneron Candela elōs Plus (SR or SRA), our doctors can precisely target and remove brown spots, redness and fine blood vessels that can be caused by sun damage and rosacea.
In addition to the elōs Plus laser treatment system, Hendersonville Dermatology also offers the use of a Pulsed Dye Laser for fine facial blood vessels, redness and flushing, cherry hemangiomas, vascular birthmarks, and to a lesser extent stretch marks and scars. Our doctors perform these treatments themselves so that you can be assured of maximum safety and optimal results.
Juvéderm® and Restylane®
Our face contains numerable pockets of soft tissue (fat and muscle), that help keep our skin tight and full. As we age, the soft tissue can deteriorate, leading to the appearance of sagging, lines, hollows and grooves around our temples, eyes, nose, mouth, lips and jawline. One quick and minimally invasive solution is to use hyaluronic acid (HA) soft tissue fillers to help restore lost volume.
While HA fillers can provide many aesthetic benefits there are potential risks. Our doctors have extensive training in the anatomy, facial aesthetics, pharmacology, injection techniques and complementary treatments needed for safer, cost effective and pleasing results. Our doctors will perform a thorough medical risk assessment to see if you are an appropriate candidate for HA fillers, and they will explain the associated risks so you can decide if it’s right for you.
Chemical Peels
A medium depth peels is a great way to remove solar lentigines, more commonly known as “sunspots”. One treatment will remove approximately 75% of the spots. Other options for solar lentigines include intense pulsed light (IPL), fractional non-ablative laser and fractional ablative laser. IPL is better suited than a peel for the chest, neck and upper extremities.
Laser Hair Removal
Hendersonville Dermatology offers laser hair removal with the Syneron Candela elos Plus 810 diode laser that is useful for smaller areas such as the lip, chin and ears for those with darker hair.
Acne Treatments
In addition to medical treatments for acne, we offer treatment with comedone extractions and salicylic acid and chemical peels.
PRP for Hair Loss
The most common type of hair loss is androgenetic alopecia, more commonly known as male/female pattern hair loss. Both topical and oral medications have been shown to help, especially when combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP), a treatment available at Hendersonville Dermatology for appropriate candidates.
During this procedure two vials of your own blood are spun in a centrifuge to separate the PRP from the other blood components. The PRP is rich in growth factors. When injected into the scalp at the level of the hair follicle, these growth factors may reinvigorate dormant hair follicles and stimulate new hair growth.
